In December of 2020, Jackie started the fight of her life. She went to the Dr. office because she was not able to eat due to sever heartburn and stomach pains. She was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery and diagnosed with stomach cancer. Jackie then went through 8 rounds of chemotherapy in 4 months. The chemo really took a toll on Jackie’s body and she continued to loose weight. She then had a 2-month break from chemo. During her break she decided to have surgery to have the cancer tumor removed.
On July 1st Jackie went in for surgery and when they opened her up they found cancer all over her abdomen and intestines. Jackie has adenocarcinoma, which is cancer of the glands in your organs that secret mucus or bile that keeps your organs soft and working properly. Her new diagnosis is stage 4 stomach cancer and it breaks our heart to say that she has 6 months to live.
Jackie has made a bucket list of things that she would like to do before she passes. Her family wants to check off all of the things on her bucket list, however reality is that we do not have the funds to do everything for her. We are looking into alternative ways to make her bucket list complete however we do need help.
Jackie is a single mom, so all of her final expenses will fall to her children and she does not want to leave her children with that burden.
So we are asking for your help. Help with her final expenses and to make Jackie’s last few months here on earth full of amazing memories. Memories for Jackie, her mom, siblings, children and grandchildren.
