On Monday February 12th, Jack and a friend went to Winter Park to enjoy a day of skiing. Late in the afternoon, Jack was involved in a skiing accident where he fell backwards into a log and the force of the fall caused severe injury. The injuries included over 10 rib fractures, a lacerated spleen and a punctured lung. He was brought by ambulance to Swedish Medical Center where he was admitted into the intensive care unit to manage his pain and monitor his other internal injuries. We are so thankful that all of his injuries are ones that eventually will heal and that no permanent damage was done. God is so good and faithful to have protected him as we have been told by many professionals that things could have been much worse if the injury was even a few inches in a different direction.
