Every child hopes for an amazing senior year; one they will never forget.  Jack will definitely never forget this year, however,  it will not be amazing!  Jack’s story starts sometime in the last year or so, when he started to have numbness and pain in his left leg.   After many visits to the Chiropractor,  months of pain,  Doctors visits, an X-ray, 7 weeks of physical therapy and a month long insurance denial, we were finally approved for an MRI.
The MRI revealed Jack had a very large tumor on his lower spine.   Jack has been diagnosed with an extremely rare form of cancer they call Chondrosarcoma.  The tumor consists of other anomalies, but that is the diagnosis that fits the best.  Part of this tumor is a High Grade Sarcoma which is aggressive.  Treatment will need to be aggressive as well!
Our world has been thrown to the wind!  Never  in a million years had any of us thought this would be our story.  I’ve always heard these awful stories and thought I can’t imagine how they feel!  I do now and it’s unexplainable!  Jack has been through so much already and still remains amazingly positive.  I’m so proud of him.  I only wish I could be as strong.
Jack’s cancer story is just beginning and he is ready to kick Cancer’s A$$!   We wanted to start a Caringbridge site to keep everyone that loves Jack, informed as he goes through his treatments.  I’m finding it very difficult to keep everyone up to speed.   I will update his site as often as I can.  We want to thank you all for your love, prayers and support!
