On the morning of Tuesday, 9/11/18 I went in for a routine 30 week prenatal visit. By that evening I was headed back to the hospital to repeat some tests due to high blood pressure and protein in my urine. When I got to the hospital my blood pressure was sky high and I was admitted to labor and delivery and told I was likely to have my baby the next day. On Wednesday we saw the perinatal specialists and they agreed we had to have the baby. Doctors got my blood pressure down with medicine. And gave baby two shots of steroids to get his lungs to develop more quickly. Jack was born via c-section Thursday, 9/13/18 at 12:08pm, weighing 2 lbs. 10 ozs. and measuring 14 1/8 inches long. He was 10 weeks early! He looks like Joey and was screaming when he was born. We knew he was going to be a fighter. He went directly to the NICU and now his journey begins!
