Isaac Gorham Isaac - A Cancer Journey

First post: May 9, 2017 Latest post: May 10, 2017
Thank you for you patience in getting this posted. My son Isaac began having severe headaches around Christmas of last year. They progressively got worse over time. In March he had his first seizure while alone in his apartment. That followed up by 4 more seizures which finally brought him to the Emergency Room in Grand Forks, where he is a medical student. At the hospital he suffered from very traumatic seizure. They did a CT scan followed by a MRI and found a large tumor along with two large cysts. The cysts are what caused the seizures, sadly I am very grateful they were there or the tumor may have been growing in his brain longer. The Neurosurgeon did surgery immediately to remove the tumor and cysts. They sent tumor to the Mayo clinic where pathology came back as a level 3 tumor, Stage 4 cancer. We are currently waiting (not very patiently) for an appointment at Mayo to meet with an Oncologist to see what our next step is. We will keep everyone posted on here as well Facebook. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. My son is a fighter and I believe in the God of the Impossible!!! Love to all of you!
