Welcome to our friends and family. We created this CaringBridge page to help keep everyone updated on Irena's health. She was diagnosed with congestive heart failure many years ago, however, her health has declined more significantly in the last year, leading to supportive oxygen and reduced mobility. She is currently living at Sholom Home East in Saint Paul so she can receive the care and support she needs. In July, it was determined that she would benefit from hospice services to help her feel more comfortable. For those unfamiliar, hospice care focuses on the care, comfort, and quality of life of a person with a serious illness that is no longer seeking treatment for that illness.
