Welcome to my blog In Marla's Corner. I've created it as a way to keep my family and friends updated. Also it is a terrific opportunity to muse, rant, provoke and pontificate. Now I ask you, who could ask for anything more.....except that I do have Ovarian Cancer which is uber crummy. I refuse to ask 'Why me?' or believe that my body has betrayed me. What nonsense and rot.

With your love and care, I am determined to get through the treatments -and their side effects- with graciousness, whatever happens. I will wear Urban Turbans with panache - oh I love that word. Also, the universe willing, on the other side of the treatments I will not refer to myself as a cancer survivor but as a cancer experiencer. Well, it is an experiential learning experience if ever there was one. The term survivor for me goes with catastrophes like genocide, terrible tragic accidents, natural disasters, and really, really, really bad reality TV shows. Truly I am so off the Island, I was never on it!

BTW - I am so grateful for your support, words of hope and encouragement during this time when it has never mattered more to me.
