I thought I was having appendicitis back in September of 2016, turns out it was cancer. I was diagnosed at the age of 40 with stage 3 leiomyosarcoma. I had made amends with myself when I had turned 40, that this was going to be a great year. I have a home with 4 beautiful kids, a wonderful husband, a dream career, and ready to start grad school. Little did I know my body had different plans for me and now I am fighting to save my life.
