Ila Wheeler

Hi all! Since there are so many people out there who care about Ila and would love to hear updates we decided to use this website as a tool to get information to all of you more efficiently. We recently discovered that Ila has kidney failure and after much discussion with Ila, doctors and family Ila has decided to for-go the stent surgery and dialysis. She is at peace with her decision and we are fully supporting her. The goal now is keep her as comfortable as possible for as long as needed. She is being transferred from St. Joseph's Hospital in Tacoma to her home on Monday July 17th. Our immediate family will be helping with her care 24/7. As most of you know Ila is a social butterfly and loves company so I'm sure if any of you would like to visit she would love that. Since she has been pretty weak and easily exhausted lately we'd like to make the visiting process as comfortable as possible. I will add a post soon with some simple requests for visiting Ila during this time. Thank you to everyone for caring so much about Ila, it means to world to her and all her family to have such caring and supportive people in her life.
