Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated on Matt's journey with cancer. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most.
Matt was first diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma on August 11, 2014. He had an 82%-85% survival rate. He underwent 12 treatments of ABVD chemo. Matt was ruled in remission on March 26, 2015. On April 28, 2016, there was a new mass on a chest x-ray and he had a CT scan done on April 29, 2016. On May 16, 2016, Matt had a biopsy done to see what his new mass was. On May 23, 2016, Matt was told that his Hodgkin's Lymphoma had returned. He will be having salvage chemo to shrink his tumor, followed by a stem cell harvest, high dose chemo to wipe out his bone marrow, and then receive his stem cells back. He has a 50% survival rate.
