Marty DeBruin How's Marty DeBruin Doin?

First post: Jan 24, 2018 Latest post: Mar 6, 2019
Hi. I, Marty DeBruin, was diagnosed with Stage I breast cancer in December 2017 in the USA after a routine mammogram, subsequent ultra-sound scans and a biopsy. Thereafter my husband, Robert and I returned for three weeks to the Middle East for work and some medical treatment investigation.

In early January we have returned to Indianapolis for an extended medical leave. Marty is continuing her job remotely setting up training institutes in two undisclosed countries. Robert is here with her until mid-February.

On January 11th Marty had a MRI which confirms Stage 1 breast cancer in one breast only and not spread as yet to the lymph nodes.
On January 17th Marty had a consultation with a chemotherapy doctor.
On January 22 Marty has a pre-operation check-up with a primary care physician.

We are awaiting a surgery to be scheduled. Details of the type of surgery are not available at this time.
On February 28 Marty will have a post-op follow-up visit with the chemo doctor and pending the pathology 12-18 weeks of chemotherapy. Subsequent pathology may also require radiation and hormone blocking pills.

We are assured of God's presence with us in this trial. We are grateful for hundreds of well wishers, offers of practical help and your valued prayer support.
