My mom was diagnosed with Stage IV Non-small cell adenocarcinoma (lung cancer) on Tuesday, January 2, 2018. She has been battling a cough, pneumonia, and a collapsed lung for months. The most worrisome symptoms were a persistent cough and difficulty breathing. After many doctor visits and lots of tests (blood tests, a CT scan, a biopsy), a lung cancer diagnosis was made by Dr. Mark Hodges, pulmonologist. My mom has never smoked a single cigarette in her entire life.
My mom is strong, resilient, faithful, and unbelievably upbeat. We are full of hope and counting our blessings. We truly appreciate your support, prayers, and offers of help. We feel the love and we are grateful.
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. An the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7
