As you may know, mid-January mom had emergency surgery where a portion of her intestines were removed. She was in the hospital 10 days at which time she moved to Good Samaratin Nursing Home in Larimore to regain strength. Unfortunately, 4 days later she went back in the hospital due to another intestinal blockage. Things seem to be moving now (yay!) and she may be moved to Valley Transitions in Grand Forks tomorrow (2-8-17).
Dad went into the hospital late January to have a mass removed from his spine that was causing him great pain. Unfortunately, the mass had matestisized from somewhere else in the body and they discovered he has stage IV lung cancer that has spread to other areas. He is presently getting radiation and anticipate he'll also receive chemo. Aside from this troubling news, he's recovering well from the surgery and also will move to Valley Transitions soon.
