Howard Dowdy

Updating everyone as so much has happened so quickly! Howard has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He is having complications as the mass is causing blockage on his bile duct. Last week we went to Omaha to try a stint to get things opened up. The surgeon was only able to partially place the stint due to the mass. Howard decided to wait on another surgery until biopsy results were back. On Tuesday evening he was having a lot of pain and went to ER. He was admitted with Pancreatitis. 
Today we have learned that his kidneys are not functioning as they should be and we are awaiting a room At the University of Nebraska for transfer to the ICU.  When he arrives in Omaha they will begin working to remove fluids that have built up also causing breathing issues and low oxygen levels. 
We will try to update and post often to keep everyone updated. 
Please keep Howard and the entire family in your prayers. If you know Howard you know he is a strong willed and feisty! We pray that keeps him strong through these difficult struggle.
