It is with a heavy heart that we share some news about our Dad, Horton. As most of you will recall, he had a left lung transplant in March of 2013 and since then he has been doing fantastic. He has not been feeling well lately and had a scheduled appointment at the Cleveland Clinic last week. Upon arrival they admitted him, as it was apparent he was having some issues. Many tests and consultations with doctors and nurses led to a diagnosis of metastatic lung cancer. Aside from severe tiredness, he is looking forward to his return home with Linda in the beautiful mountains of northwestern North Carolina. We will post periodic updates. As you read them, please feel free to post your thoughts and support. Lastly, thanks in advance to everyone for all of your positive thoughts, prayers and support. They mean so much to Dad and our family. As Pop always says: "Wishing you blue skies and sunny days from the Blue Ridge Mountains of Ashe County, North Carolina."
