Hello Friends & Family,
Early 2021 has not been what I had hoped for.  At the end of January I woke up to a case of Bells Palsy leaving the left side of my face paralyzed for approximately 4 weeks.  With a dose of steroids I regained full function of my face muscles in a shorter time than the Dr's had expected.  Shortly thereafter I started having severe pains in my stomach and landed back in the ER .  The Dr's discovered what appeared to be a mass in the spleen and swollen lymph nodes.  After review of the tests the diagnosis is Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Diffuse Large B-cell.  March 22, 2021 I had my chemo port installed and will begin my first chemo treatment Thursday 3/25 at St Luke's in Meridian.   Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers so far.  Will use this space to keep you all updated on the details and progress of shrinking the cancer.
Incredibly grateful for all of the hope, thoughts and prayers along this journey.
Love & Gratitude,
Karin
