In the beginning of summer 2016 Hayden started getting very bad fevers that weren't going away so we brought her to the doctors, they didn't understand what was wrong with her either so they told her to head over to the hospital. At first they didn't even know what was wrong with her until after multiple diagnostic tests,, they diagnosed her something called HLH, Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis. She was told that it was a very rare and life threatening condition, but it was good that we were catching it early and could start treatment. Treatment would consist of 8 weeks of chemotherapy, cyclosporine, and high dose steroids. she completed treatment and only had one 5 day stay in the hospital during treatment. She suffered many side effects from the chemo and from steroids and is still dealing with them, and as all of this is going on her father gets diagnosed with lukiemia. He's getting better and their fighting together. Everyday she is getting better and better, and she never fails to inspire me and many others. Lucky we are able to have such amazing friends and family to help us through all of what we are going through.
