On April 17, 2017 Heidi went of for a biopsy after four months of having problems that she associated with PCOS which she has struggled with since being dionosed at the age of  21.  On April 22nd she was admitted to Bethesda North hospital where she was given the devastating news that she had uterine cancer.
The cancer is an aggressive form and grade 3. Thankfully, CT scans showed that it had not spread and she is scheduled for a full  Hysterectomy on April 26th followed by radiation and chemo that will follow.

Heidi was to walk with her class on April 29 and receive her  bachelors degree in social work  graduating  Summa Cumme Laude.  She tripled majored and obtained her associates degree in 2015.

Heidi is dedicated to the social work cause and has been inspired to create the Phonix Nest which is an out reach targeting the LGBT teen community.

Having her own mother pass away from cancer when Heidi was just 18 years old,  she knows the hardship of what this diagnosis can bring.
This page has been set up to offer support and for updates to be given out as she continues to kick cancer in the ass.
