As some of you know, Mom went in for a scheduled hernia surgery on Tuesday, July 24. The surgery initially appeared to have gone well, but post op she declined and they discovered a major arterial bleed in her abdomen. Three more emergency surgeries followed as they tried to control her bleeding and stabilize her, and she was moved to the trauma center at UK Chandler Hospital. We cannot say enough about the remarkable team in the trauma ICU, who saved her life that first night. In the words of one of the amazing team members yesterday, “The fact that your Mom is still with us is a miracle, and I don’t really see many miracles.”

Mom has touched so many people, and we know there are many, many folks out there praying for her and wanting to know  how she’s doing. We hope this site will keep everyone updated more easily.
