Holly Heyman, my mama - strong, brave, diligent, and determined - has now completed her first week and a half of post-op recovery from knee replacement surgery that will help her swim, dance, do yoga, hike, engage in community work and pick up her grandchildren with strength... and no more pain! She has done incredibly well, and with the help of her older sister Melinda flying in from VT for a week, and our little fam rooting her on and dropping off food, not to mention the incredible support from all of you already, she has felt so so so so BLESSED.
She's been working hard to do all the home rehab and PT in water and on land. Let's help her keep all her activity within a range that's healthy and healing. Helping with meals and driving her to and/or from physical therapy visits is a wonderful way to help this incredibly giving woman I get to call my mom! :-)
Meal drop off is available DAILY for the next 3 weeks. All the info you'll need to know if this service is a match for you is available on the "tasks" calendar, Ways to Help.
Physical Therapy transport is needed through the month of September, so far. This task has been offered as ONE-WAYS to and from each appointment, but of course if you're available for roundtrip (with generally a 2 hour gap in between), please sign up for BOTH one-ways in their separate location on that day.
