Welcome to our CaringBridge website. My plein-air painting friend, Helene Woolsey, is having knee surgery on March 20. She has asked me to help her coordinate her post-op needs. She is expected to spend one night in the hospital. Her family has schedule themselves to be with her from 3/21 to 3/27, and a friend will stay with her from 3/27 to 3/28. She would appreciate meals 3/29 to 3/30. Her son will take her to her first post-op appointment on 3/31. Helen says they want her up and moving around every day, if possible, after surgery. She suspects she will need some help from 4/1 thru 4/5 depending on how she is able to get around. Helene says she would love to have visits at any time during this period so she doesn't suffer from cabin fever. Kind of what we are all suffering from during this rainy spell. Helene has given me the names and email addresses of those who live in her area and would be willing to help out on the days listed above. Maybe give her a phone call now and then to say "What's up?...Can I come over for a little visit?...Can I bring soup, salad, hot dish, pick up a pizza?, whatever you are craving?...or, can I take you for a drive along the beach, out for lunch, to my house for a meal, grocery shopping, to the pharmacy, to a movie theater, play, etc."
