Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your prayers, support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you!
“Surely the righteous will never be shaken;
They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord. Their hearts are secure, they will have no fear; in the end they will look in triumph on their foes.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭112:6-8‬ ‭NIV‬‬

On December 20, 2018 I discovered a lump on my breast the night before leaving for Woodstock to celebrate Christmas with Jon’s family. We went on to have a wonderful Christmas with the Wenzel’s and had the privilege of hosting my family back at our home in Cedar Lake on Christmas Day.
Two days after Christmas my doctor had me in for an ultrasound and then immediately biopsied the lump.
On New Year’s Eve we found out that the pathology report showed that it is invasive ductal carcinoma breast cancer. We have further appointments this week to learn more and discuss treatment.
For those of you who may not know I am a carrier of the BRCA1 gene mutation making me higher risk for breast cancer. I did the genetic testing for this and discovered this information in 2014.

Thank you for walking with us. We serve the KING.

One great way to help us would be to sign up to bring a meal.  It is so important to me as a mom to have good, homemade meals for my kids rather than fast food every day. So if cooking is your thing, please love on us with some food! ☺️ Thank you!
