<p>Hi everyone, it’s Heather here. First, I want to thank you for following along and sending your love and prayers. We really appreciate your support. It’s been a busy few weeks. I started a new chemo 2 weeks ago that my doctor is optimistic about. Prior to that I had 2 weeks of whole brain radiation. I think I’m over the fatigue that came along with that, and am starting to get a little vision back in my right eye. Unfortunately, I still can’t open that eyelid. </p>
<div>   The first chemo went well, with no side effects really except being tired. This past week I went for treatment number two, and my platelet count was too low to move forward. My doctor wants to try and spread the treatment out to let my counts have time to come up.</div>
<div>This week I also had a Pleurex catheter placed in my back/side that will allow us to drain any fluid build up from my lungs at home. I’ve had to go in and have it drained a few times now, and It just made sense to go ahead and place it. It’s a simple process to drain, and makes me a lot more comfortable. </div>
<div>  We have decided to keep the boys home for remote learning even though our county is phasing them back into the building, and I am taking time off for a while. They are doing great with it all, and we have support for Sean. </div>
<div>  We are surrounded by support from loved ones, and are so grateful for all of you. We want to thank our family and friends, as well as my Woodland Elementary family and my Alpha Delta Kappa sorority sisters. Everyone has been so supportive and generous to us, and we are so thankful. Thank you so much for all of your well wishes and prayers. We are ready to fight this one step at a time.
