I haven't had a chance to connect with many of you, so I wanted to reach out and share that I was recently diagnosed with " Cancer of Unknown Primary" - this diagnosis occurs when cancer cells have spread in the body and formed metastatic tumors but the site of the primary cancer is not known. This diagnosis was a big surprise as I didn't have any symptoms and wasn't experiencing any pain. It was identified during my annual physical via bloodwork that illustrated escalated levels of my liver enzymes.
We are greatly appreciative of all of the support we have already received from family, friends, connections and an amazing group of Doctors - we thought this site would be helpful to keep everyone informed on our action plan to GET BACK TO HEALTH! I have a very strong faith, excellent support and am focused on the future and keeping a positive mindset!
Feel free to visit the site for updates and leave messages, I am guessing there will be some people I miss as I don't have everyone's e-mail, so please feel free to share with others as well. We'll plan to send updates following my chemotherapy treatment schedule which is on track to take place every 21-days.
