Early to Mid November, Andy discovered a lump in my left breast. I wrote it off as a clogged milk duct, because I was still breastfeeding. On Tuesday November 29th, I finally went to my family physician, who quickly referred me to Women's Imaging Clinic for an ultrasound, two days later. When you have a breast lump, the best case scenario is that it is liquid filled (a cyst). From the ultrasound, my lump was solid. Luckily, I was able to have a core needle biopsy done later that same day. The next day, our lives changed forever. My doctor called and informed me that the biopsy came back positive for a very aggressive form of cancer.
