In the spring of 2019, Hattie developed an unquenchable thirst. After seeing a specialist in late June, she spent four days at Children's Hospital in Dallas undergoing a series of tests, scans, and procedures. She was diagnosed with a rare condition known as Central Diabetes Insipidus. The following day, an MRI revealed a tumor on her pituitary gland. Her team of doctors spent the remainder of July trying to determine the type of cancer and the best treatment plan. With the support of her family and friends, Hattie begins chemotherapy on August 2nd. We invite you to join us as we journal throughout the process.
