Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting. Harvey was diagnosed with pancreatic adenocarcinoma with metastases to the liver and spleen on Saturday, December 30. He had a stroke on December 12 at home and I was with him. He was recovering and had another on Saturday, December 23.  We were in Cox Medical Center in the ER and the doctor knew he had strokes again ,even on blood thinner ,per the MRI.  He decided to do CT scans of the chest as Harvey had shortness of breath and saw a suspicious spot and did a CT of the abdomen.  There he discovered the spots on the pancreas, liver and spleen. He was admitted and had a liver biopsy on Wednesday and we got results on Saturday and came home that day. We will see oncology next week for consultation.
Pancreatic cancer is very sneaky and usually without symptoms until it has progressed to other organs.
I will try to keep this site updated
