Hey all - thanks for visiting.  This site is intended to provide updates on Harry Senior as he recovers from a series of strokes over the past week (3/19-3/25).  We'll be providing daily updates on his status and recovery to save our thumbs some energy - but we are thankful for your prayers and well wishes over the past week

Thanks for all of your prayers about Harry Sr.  He continues to recover at CMC Main from his stroke which occurred early Monday, May 25

On Tuesday (5/19), Harry experienced dizziness, blurred vision, and other stroke symptoms towards the end of a workout.  Sandy took him to the Emergency Room after which he was admitted to Mercy Hospital. That Thursday, he had a second stroke.  Both of these strokes were minor with only transitory symptoms resolving after 24 hours. He was discharged on Saturday.

Just after midnight on Monday, Harry suffered a third, larger stroke and was taken to the hospital. The MRI results indicated that the stroke impacted the area of his brain dealing with balance and coordination, the cerebellum..

Since then, the stroke has stabilized and symptoms like Vertigo have resolved, vision has improved significantly and he is left with “mild to moderate” issues related to motor coordination (especially his left side) and balance that are improving every day. His speech was not affected by the stroke nor his sense of humor. He is eager to continue his rehabilitation.

We, his family and Harry, as well, are very, very grateful for the support and prayers of so many.

 Love,
Sandy and Harry Jr.
