Two weeks ago Harriet fell down the stairs at her home in Orange.  She has two compression fractures but did not suffer any major head/brain trauma.  She was in the hospital for a few days before being transferred to an inpatient rehab facility in Orange.  Unfortunately the fall and subsequent hospitalization really exacerbated Harriet's Alzheimer's.  The first few days in the rehab facility there was a major decline in her condition.  She wasn't eating and was pretty much non responsive.  Thankfully the past few days there have been improvements in her eating, ability to converse and her mobility.   

Post discharge plans are still being discussed and decided.  A discharge date has not yet been established.  The family will continue to update you all here as individual updates are overwhelming for the family due to the many friends and family that care about Harriet.
