Hello Friends and Family.
Welcome to this site.  You are invited to it because Harold Channer, our father, is someone you know and care about. We, David and Lisa will keep you all up to date here on Harolds health. For those who don't know, Harold had a fall in march and broke his hip. He had a hip replacement and spent many months in a rehab center and nursing home. He was released last Friday Oct 9 and Lisa is now in New York so she and Maggie can help him in his transition back to his apartment. David is helping coordinate things from California.

Harold is weakened quite a bit from his time "inside" and has lost about 40 lbs. He is confused and mixes up realities often but his inner self is still there and he is quite sweet much of the time. His sense of humor and joy of laughter remains unmarred. It's very interesting to hear him describe what is in his mind as he tries to work out how his dreams are or are not real. Please feel free to take a moment to write to him or tell a story about your time knowing Harold. We will read them to him. You can also ask us questions here if you have any. It's easier to keep everyone updated at once as he has many friends and people who care about him.

We will keep you all in touch as we determine what his next life plans are and we will keep you all in the loop as he continues to recover at home. He enjoys petting Little Boy the dog and of course, talking and thinking out loud (he watches his show on MNN every weekday)
He is talking every day to his dear sister Carol in Detroit and it is the highlight of every day.

Lisa is in NY for at least a month.
Much love your way
Lisa, David and Maggie
