For those that haven’t heard the full story, Hank was hit in the head by a large rock while at “the Country” climbing area in Index on the evening of July 11th. He lost consciousness immediately. He was lucky enough to be surrounded by climbers, the kindest bravest breed of athlete known to man. A retired firefighter was feet away. A trauma nurse showed up in minutes. A band of loving soles supported his spine and kept him breathing as they carried him back to the parking lot. If you were of that band, please let me know, I’d love to express my gratitude. There isn’t a shred of doubt in my mind, he is alive because of you.
