Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Hampton is a sweet, loving, rambunctious 4 year old boy who was diagnosed with Clear Cell Sarcoma of the Kidney (CCSK), a rare malignant tumor of the kidney, on September 27, 2018.  Hampton's journey started  on September 18th with no symptoms other than a fever, which is not unusual for an active little boy who loves to play with friends and attends preschool.  A routine doctor's visit that day turned into a need for further tests the following day.  On September 19th,  testing revealed a mass in the abdomen , with subsequent tests revealing a diagnosis of a tumor confined to the kidney believed to be a Wilm's Tumor.  Multiple pathology tests later,  one of the leading researchers in pediatric renal  tumors returned the pathology results with a diagnosis of Clear Cell Sarcoma of the Kidney, not Wilm's Tumor.   MRI and bone scans reveal that the tumor is encapsulated and contained at the original site involving only one kidney. With this diagnosis and the need for aggressive treatment, Hampton began chemotherapy on October 1, 2018. which will occur before and after surgery for tumor removal.

Hampton's story is teaching us daily about God's unfailing love even in the midst of heartbreak. God is in control and we give Him our boy.  We ask that people remember our family in prayer.

"Be strong and courageous!"  Joshua 1:9
