Hal Feeney, Jr

Harold (Hal) Feeney is a father of five children and husband to our mom, Barbara.  Together, Hal and Barbara are living in Brunswick, GA enjoying retirement.  In August 2016, they celebrated 50 years of marriage.  Before the accident that occurred on Monday, Jan. 23rd, their anniversary celebration was the last time the entire family was able to be together and we are forever grateful for those wonderful memories.


On January 22nd, 2017, tornadoes came through their area near Brunswick, Georgia and on Monday the 23rd, Hal was helping with cleanup in a neighborhood that suffered significant damage.  While assisting with some debris removal, Hal was hit on the head by a tree limb from the top part of a falling tree.  Hal sustained major fractures to his skull as well as significant bleeding.   Our dad was transported to the nearest Level 1 Trauma center - UF Health Jacksonville, Florida, about 1 hour from the accident site.  The surgeons were able to repair the fractures in his skull and he was admitted to the Neurological ICU. 


Our family is extremely grateful for the tremendous outpouring of prayers and support through this difficult time.  We will be using this site in an effort to provide our friends and family the most recent updates on his recovery efforts.
