On Father's Day, Dad, was quite jaundiced. Ater talking to his home health nurse on that Monday, and a consult with his Doctor, the nurse suggested he go to the ER where he would be able to get immediate test result. Scans showed that there was a mass on the pancreas and the liver was involved. . He was admitted to Kansas Medical Center in Andover. After much lab work, ct scans, and liver biopsy they are pretty sure it is Pancreatic Cancer that has metastisized to his Liver. There tried to do a drain from the liver to releave the jaundice but there wasn't a blockage so no drain was inserted. Dad came home that Friday afternoon. He receives homehealth care now and we are talking with Hospice to provide the best palative care possible.
