Guy Genereux

On October 23, 2017, Guy fell off a scaffold while cutting a tree.


Since that time, he has had back surgery to place some rods and plates that support his burst vertebrae. During his recovery, he developed an ulcerated duodenum that resulted in a perforated bowel that created an infection in his abdomen.


This has been a long journey for Guy. Without the infection, he would be undergoing rehabilitation for his back. But unfortunately he remains bed bound except for the physical therapy he receives in the morning.


Let me tell you about Guy...


He’s a man with a laugh that is bigger than him. In fact it rattles him and makes his shoulders bounce up and down; he is a man that loves nature and marvels at skyscapes, clouds and the position of the sun in the day and the shape of the moon at night. He is a man who follows the weather almost as if it is an obsession.


He is a man who loves his family. He loves life. He’s a husband, a father, a step-father, a grand-father, a brother, a brother-in-law, an uncle and a friend.


He is resilient, determined and strong in mind and body. He is driven. He is calm and he is patient.


He is loved.
