Greyson Luttrell

On January 5th, Greyson was found to have a large tumor in the mediastinum just outside the lungs.  He has been receiving care since at Shands Children’s Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. A biopsy was performed and shows a preliminary diagnosis of infantile fibrosarcoma vs a mesenchymal tumor.  He will most likely undergo surgical excision to remove the tumor and confirm diagnosis soon.  His case is challenging due to the location of the tumor and the fact that it is pressing on some of the major vessels of his heart and pressing on his airway which makes anesthesia very complicated and dangerous.
