Hello Friends and Family!
This is Gretchen's journey with breast caner.
On Tuesday, May 15th Gretchen went for her yearly GYN exam and a mass was found in her right breast.   On Tuesday, May 22nd Gretchen went in for a 3D  mammogram and  ultrasound.  After all the imaging was completed, they saw 3 masses with calcification in the middle and  scheduled Gretchen for a biopsy to determine if they were cancerous.  On Thursday the 24th a biopsy was performed were they took 7 samples.  One week later on Thursday, May 31st Gretchen received a verbal confirmation that she did have breast cancer.  Monday, June 4th Gretchen received a phone call from her GYN that she needed to schedule treatment with cancer program. After that call, she contacted MD Anderson and began the process of registering with the breast cancer department.  By late afternoon on Monday,  Gretchen had additional imaging scheduled at MD Anderson for Thursday, June 7th.  While at the June 7th appointment they performed another mammogram, ultrasound, and took a biopsy of her lymph node.
