We welcomed Gretchen Rae Long or "Greta" into our family on January 4, 2018. Shortly after birth she developed signs of a bowel obstruction. Kristin and Greta took two ambulance rides and an airplane ride to Albuquerque to the children's hospital at UNM. She was admitted to the neonatal ICU, and after further testing, it was determined she had a malformation in her small bowel causing a partial bowel obstruction. Greta is scheduled for a surgery to correct the malformation the morning of January 8th. What our family needs the most right now is for you to keep us in your thoughts and prayers. Chris and Kristin will post updates so please check back here for new information concerning Greta' s progress.
