As all of you know, Greg has been fighting Prostate Cancer for the last 13 years. Sadly, he is slowly losing his battle with the disease. The cancer has spread to his bones, liver and possibly his brain. He has been in hospice since the beginning of September.
Most recently he was admitted to Journey Care’s Barrington location for pain management and confusion. The nurses at Journey Care Hospice say he is “pleasantly confused” and always has a smile. He has also developed a new laugh. The kind that makes you wonder what he’s up to.
It’s been very difficult to watch the changes in him during the recent days. In typical Greg fashion, he has managed to help us laugh at times during this new journey all of us are on.
He is still the charmer and is making the nurses and staff laugh as they help him.
Also, just the other day Tracy and I were talking and Greg asked us if we were done yet. Apparently we were too chatty for him.
