I am Lisa Grant’s sister Susan Daniels.  Carl and I would like to welcome you to her CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. I chose this picture of Lisa and Carl because to  me, they are true heros. Through all of their trials they stand strong and stay positive. Thank you for visiting.


Lisa had surgery for colon cancer on May 6, 2019. A second surgery followed along with a three week hospital stay. Lisa came home and after a month was doing well.  She started chemo in July and was hospitalized again in August for a blockage.  After a third surgery and another three week hospital stay she came home and began to return to good health.  In September she developed a fistula and was hospitalized for a week and returned home to regain her strength and vitality.  November 6th, exactly six months from her first surgery, found Lisa back in the OR for emergency surgery to repair a complication.  Unfortunately this did not go as well as expected and Lisa remains in the hospital in ICU.  I will be posting updates as I have them.  Please look for an update later today.  We are so grateful for your support and love.  Please reach out to me via this page with questions or comments.
