Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

On Friday June 16th Grandma Donna had a Hemorrhagic Stroke which was located at the base of the brain.  She was transported from her home to Hutchinson Health at 7;30 p.m.   Upon arrival Hutch Health did a CT Scan and sent it off to Abbot.  Once reviewed by the Neurosurgeon they determined it was inoperable due to the location at the base of the brain.  The doctor had told us that she probably wouldn't last through the night due to the bleeding filling up and making it to the Brain Stem.  All of Grandma's Kids, Grand kids, Great Grand Kids, and her sister Louis where at the hospital all night staying with Donna.  Donna was breathing on her own the entire time and the bleeding stopped and never made it to the Brain Stem.  The results of Donna's stroke are  paralysis on her entire right side of her body and the left side of her face .  Saturday was a very long day as Donna did a lot of sleeping but she did look a lot better then she did when admitted on Friday.  Sunday was an awesome day as she was more alert in looking at everyone that would take their turns talking to her.  Donna would squeeze our hands, put her hand on our faces, turn her head side to side to look at us, nod her head yes or no to questions we would ask, and even said a few words.  So Donna can clearly comprehend everything we say to her which is a very amazing start!
