Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
Grafton had been having trouble with the transition when he and Sue returned from Maui. He became very weak, to the point where he could hardly walk. On Easter Sunday he was taken to the hospital. We soon found that at some point in the past he had fallen and hit his head, causing bleeding around his brain. He had emergency surgery that night to drain the fluid from around his brain, relieving the pressure. The surgery was successful and he spent 5 days in the ICU at Swedish Hospital. Being in the hospital was really confusing for him and he had a tough time, wanting to leave etc. He is now at Julia Temple Healthcare Center for rehabilitation and is doing better. When he is released from rehab he will be moving into a memory care unit at Sunrise at Orchard in Greenwood Village. More soon...
