Welcome to Grace McDill's CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Grace McDill is a vibrant, inquisitive, passionate person, and has a larger than life personality. She is loving, kind, and deeply caring.  Grace saw the good in everyone and wanted to care for and heal all wounded souls who came into her life. This led her to begin a degree studying social work at CCAC.  She was planning to transfer to University of Pittsburgh next year to complete a Bachelor of Social Work.

On Monday July 31st, she started a job as a Direct Support Professional at ACHIEVA, an organization that supports and empowers individuals with disabilities and their families.  She was so excited to start this new chapter in her life.

Tragically she suffered an accident overnight Wednesday, August 2nd, that left her without enough oxygen to support her brain function.  Grace was found unresponsive and taken to Allegheny General Hospital where she was in the ICU for 8 days.  She will soon be transferred to a long-term acute care facility.

As doctors monitor her condition, we pray, chant, and ask the universe for her recovery. Grace has already reached a level that we couldn’t imagine at this time last week.  There is still a very long way to go to bring her back to us.
