Jim Berg Going Gray with Jim

First post: Apr 4, 2018 Latest post: Dec 28, 2018
As most of you may have heard, this past week we received some very unfortunate news that Jim (Dad) was diagnosed with a very rare type of malignant glioma in his thalamus.  Within less than a week our entire world has changed drastically.  A few neurosurgeons initially told us that due to how rare this tumor is that it would be inoperable and gave us very few options.  This Monday we found an incredible neurosurgeon with Jefferson University who is world renown and specializes in these tumors who feels confident he can remove a part of it and give him a fighting chance. As a rare breed himself, Jim is on board tackle this beast! He is the strongest person that we know and he is determined to fight this battle. He will be having brain surgery this Thursday and if all goes as planned, he is expected to be in the hospital for a few days afterwards before determining what further treatment will be necessary. There is an incredibly long road ahead but he has a whole team to support him. As gray is the symbolic color of brain cancer and since we will all most likely develop gray hair from this journey, we invite you to "Go Gray with Jim" and support him throughout this difficult journey!
