GL, a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend to many, was diagnosed with stage 4 Cholangiocarcenoma on March 2nd. He had not been feeling well and experiencing some odd pain in his back. At first it seemed he was just dealing with non-alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver and an enlarged spleen. A CT to look at the liver would show a mass as well as one on his lower spine. A week later a biopsy was taken and examined. It came back as cancer but was not liver cancer. The new question was, where did it start? A CT was ordered of the lungs which came back clear. Good news for sure! After meeting with the oncologist on Feb, 27th a pet scan was ordered. These results would come back, on the 2nd, to show the cancer started in the bile duct (its role is to carry bile from the gallbladder and carrying it to the upper part of the small intestine)spread to the liver, the mass on his spine showed cancer, as well as the lymph nodes in his neck.
