Gloria Cano

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.  Gloria was diagnosed with Stage III Ovarian Cancer about three years ago.  She has faithfully and courageously battled this disease including undergoing numerous rounds of chemotherapy and surgical interventions.  Her loving husband of 54 years, Phil, has never left her side.  Gloria is now facing the toughest fight of her life, as the metastatic cancer has caused tumors to encroach upon her intestines and elsewhere throughout her body.  She is presented with a complete blockage of the small intestine which is inoperable.  No longer able to receive chemotherapy, Gloria will be able to receive a "G-tube" and receive palliative care (pain management) and enter hospice once she leaves Presbyterian hospital.  This should be some time this week.  Gloria is in good spirits but she is relying on the encouragement from family and friends.  Please continue to pray and send messages here.  She welcomes calls and hospital visits.  We will keep this site updated.  Psalm 34:18 The LORD is near to the brokenhearted.
