During the pandemic lockdown in April and May of 2020, Glenyta seemed to fall into a depression and stopped eating. Turns out there was more going on than just depression and dementia. Her dramatic weight loss is due to at least three inoperable tumors in her pancreas, liver, and lungs. The doctors have stated it is likely stage IV pancreatic cancer. She is now staying at Doherty Hospice in Sioux Falls for her final weeks.
