Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting. Please leave your messages to Glen so that I may read them to him when I get to see him! Glen went in the hospital on September 11, 2021 with breathing complications from covid.  He  came home 11 days later with oxygen, still very short of breath, but seemed to be getting stronger.  Then on day 7 of being home, he  developed another fever and extreme shortness of breath.  I took him back to the hospital on the 30th of September, his 57th birthday. He was  on 100 % oxygen and medications to treat viral and bacterial pneumonia.  His condition was worsening ~ multi organ failure ~ and  he was moved to a covid ICU and put on ventilator  and meds to regulate BP.   He has a weak heart, the right side is enlarged. His liver is damaged  scar tissue in the lungs,  and he is in kidney failure . On the night of October 2 nd we received a call, telling us he was not expected to make it through the night. We were able to see him for that reason, to say our goodbyes. We visited with him, rubbing his feet, talking to him, and holding his hand, hearts broken and in disbelief of the circumstances. About 4 hours later he started to sit up, Derek held his hand and said "it's okay dad".  A few minutes later he woke up and squeezed my hand!  He could focus on us and nod yes or no. The nurse said he was amazing, while that is true~We know it was our God that was amazing and in charge! The Dr. came in and Glen had made some  improvements ~ ever so slight. He was not leaving us that night!  Praise God. He was seen by Cardiologist and a  Renal team to come up with a plan. Glen was doing better,  off of blood pressure medicine, his oxygen on ventilator went from 100%~90%~80%. Then an amazing 50%!   They then could start dialysis. He did well for the first treatment. Then his BP was wacky again up too hight then too low. They stopped  Hemodialysis and are doing dialysis over a longer period of time.  That is where we are as of right now. He has taken some steps back. But I believe God can completely heal and I am praying for God's will and His Healing touch.  Thank you all for your prayers!! God Bless, Donna
