Welcome to Glenn's CaringBridge website.  Glenn started to experience health complications in mid-April.  His situation has become more complex quickly.  We are using this site to keep family and friends updated.  We appreciate your prayers, hope and words of encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Glenn visited the clinic in Alexandria on Saturday, April 19th as he was experiencing soreness and swelling in his left leg.  The clinic referred Glenn to the emergency room with concerns about blood clotting, combined with a low hemoglobin count.  Glenn was transported by ambulance to St. Cloud where doctors were planning to place a filter in his left leg to mitigate risk from blot clots that were identified.  Once the filter was in place, the medical team planned to run a series of tests related to Glenn's hemoglobin count. 

On Sunday morning (before the filter was placed), Glenn had a stroke as the blood clot had traveled to his brain.  Glenn was rushed to emergency surgery where surgeons were able to save his life and remove part of the clot.
