Well I am go to start with June of 2016. Glenn (aka Benny) he was very weak and had went into the doctor to get his heart checked. Benny was told he needed a quadruple heart bypass. So that's what we prepared for.  At the end of June 2016 his surgery was done. He had many bumps in the road but managed to pull through with the exception that he has to wear oxygen. In August mom had a stroke and is doing good considering what could have been. So now skip forward 10 months, Glenn was retaining fluid and went in to the doctor the end of April and a chest x-ray showed something in his left lung so the doctor ordered a CT scan  On May 2nd  2017 the doctors called and said they​ seen a mass in the upper left lung and they needed to do a byopsy. So on May 11th 2017 they did a byopsy.  On May 15th 2017 he got the news that it was Small cell carcinoma (lung cancer). 😢 So on May 30th Glenn went and had a MRI of the brain, and a full body pet scan done. On June 1st 2017 we met​ with the oncologist. He informed us that there is nothing in the brain, and nothing in the other organs. But it was in the upper left lobe spreading outward into​ his thoracic cavity, and the lypmh nodes in the thoratic cavity.  So the plan is to do radiation everyday m-f for 6-8 weeks, and chemo once every 3 week's. His port was placed on Monday June 5th 2017. We meet the chemo educators and the radiologist oncologist tomorrow. Please keep Benny in your prayers.  We will do our very best to keep everyone updated.
